Client: Catholic Education Office
Location: Emerton NSW

Constructed as part of the Catholic Education Offices BER programme, the negotiated tender project involved the direct involvement of Zadro Constructions with the design team during the tender period. This process lead to a cost effective construction price which did not harm the architectural intent or the Schools functional requirement. The building has been constructed to integrate into, and following the theme of the existing school buildings.

The building provides the School with a Multipurpose Hall for approximately 350 students and staff, and also includes storage rooms for sports and performance equipment, a special education room and kitchenette facilities and toilets.

A conscious effort was made from the outset to provide for the Halls dual purpose school and Church Parish hall outside school hours. To achieve this, a range of dual security features have been installed along with dual entry ways. The Hall also has a good natural ventilation airflow system, with large external Renlita doors used to opening the Hall into the School to allow the space to be used as both an indoor and semi outdoor facility.
