Client: Barker College
Location: Hornsby NSW

The Barker College Design Centre project consisted of both refurbishment works and new works.

The refurbishment included modification to existing art rooms, orientation change to existing classrooms and demolition of dividing walls to allow for larger spaces. The new works consisted of extending the rear of the building to allow for a new woodworking room, complete with epoxy flooring, new classrooms on suspended concrete floor above, and new compliant disabled WC. The scope of works included the supply and installation of a new glazed lift shaft, a new spray booth including extraction unit, new mechanical services and new high end finishes to offices and classrooms.

The works were carried out in a fully occupied building which took careful attention and skilful management to ensure student and staff safety when crossing over shared working zones.
